Lentz appointed to Appropriations Committee

It’s not in the on-line edition, but the Daily Times reported today that Bryan Lentz was offered a slot on the coveted Appropriations committee. Since Tom Gannon did not previously a seat in that committee, this plum is assumed to give Lentz an excellent platform from which to address district and regional concerns.

Lentz quoted in Inky story on House car perk

Representative Bryan Lentz was quoted in today’s Inquirer story titled “New Pa. House members get free cars.”

As of now, House records show 27 House freshmen have eschewed the free cars, although they could change their minds at any point.

Rep. Bryan Lentz (D., Delaware), who is driving his own vehicle, said he not only campaigned on changing Harrisburg but also vowed not to take a state car.

“It’s consistent with the campaign I ran to try and emphasize more of a service-oriented philosophy,” Lentz said, adding that voters “want you to be reasonable and work hard and put their interest first.”
